Kangazang! is a sci-fi comedy written by Welsh author Terry Cooper. First released as a novel, it has since been turned into an audio adventure, starring the vocal talents of former Doctor, Colin Baker.
Earthling Jeff Spooner accepts an offer to explore the galaxy with his barber, Ray Scump. The pair are thrown into a non-stop adventure as they embark on a quest to find the fabled Universal Remote – avoiding danger, doom and embarrassing situations as they go.
Aided by two badly-programmed robots and an army of warrior spacehoppers, our heroes duck, dive and try to dodge the biggest threats in the galaxy: Overlord Kelvin of Skragg, the terminally dreary Emo people and Queen Shelley – a bald, cannibalistic Amazon who has a score to settle from way back...
The audio is available as a 3-CD set with bonus DVD. In the run-up to Christmas, purchasers will also receive a free print by artist Mike Collins, featuring the Sixth Doctor on a space hopper.
You can find out more about Kangazang! and how to order from their website.

BBC Audiobooks have posted a preview of the forthcoming release of Demon Quest to their Facebook Page.
The audio adventure follows on from the hugely successful Doctor Who: Hornets’ Nest adventures. Tom Baker reprises his role as the Fourth Doctor, alongside a cast including Susan Jameson as Mrs Wibbsey and Richard Franklin as Mike Yates.
Details are available for Relics of Time, the first episode of the new Tom Baker audio series Demon Quest.
The BBC Audiobook production comes in five parts and is a sequel to Hornet's News released last year. Tom Baker reprises the role of the Fourth Doctor and is joined once more by Richard Franklin and Susan Jameson, reprising their roles as Mike Yates and Mrs. Wibbsey respectively.
The Doctor returns to Nest Cottage but lands in trouble when a key component from the TARDIS disappears. Mrs. Wibbsey is inadvertently responsible, but all she can offer in recompense is a bag containing four curious objects. It seems that each one is a clue, and the beginning of a chase through Time. In ancient Sussex they are apprehended by primitive tribesfolk, and mistaken for wizards. Can the revered goddess Wibbsentia get them out of hot water? Who is the fearful wizard in the neighbouring village, and why is the countryside littered with bodies? The Doctor and Mrs Wibbsey are about to discover that all is not right with history.
The series also features Nigel Anthony as the Wizard and Rupert Holliday Evans and Kate Sachs as the Warriors with with Samuel West, Lorelei King, Jan Francis, Finty Williams and Rowena Cooper.
The series is written by Paul Magrs and the first part is released in the UK on 2nd September and in the US on November 16.
The Advertising Standards Authority has upheld two complaints against The Telegraph Media Group over its free audio book offer which took place in April and which was promoted in the The Sunday Telegraph as a Free Doctor Who Audio Book read by David Tennant.
One complaint said the offer was misleading as it did not make clear that the audiobook came in two parts and that part two would be included in Monday's paper. A second complainant said the claim that the audiobooks were "free" was misleading, as under the terms and conditions customers who did not live near a WH Smith store would have to pay £12.99 to receive the audiobooks by post.
Both complaints were upheld with the paper instructed not to repeat the offence.
BBC Worldwide have sold 85% of BBC Audiobooks to AudioGo, a company set up by a former senior executive at Polygram, Michael Kuhn.
BBC Audiobooks currently publish a number of Doctor Who titles including the new Tom Baker series Demon Quest, narrations of Classic and current Doctor stories and the Doctor Who at the BBC series.
The deal is thought to be the first of several disposals of assets considered non-core by BBC Worldwide. BBC Magazines, which publishes titles such as Doctor Who Adventures and Radio Times, is expected to form part of this process.
A spokesman for BBC Worldwide said that the deal, which is thought to be in the region of £10m to £15m, "secures the future of the business and its staff"
Tom Baker is once more returning to the role of the fourth Doctor in a second series of audio plays, Demon Quest, for BBC Audiobooks.
Baker appeared in the series Hornet's Nest last year alongside Richard Franklin as Captain Mike Yates, this first time he had played the part of the Doctor for many years.
Demon Quest is written by Paul Magrs, who also wrote Hornet's Quest. No details are yet available about the supporting cast in the series, which will be released over five instalments.
The Doctor is to be reunited with Brigadier Winifred Bambera in a new audio adventure from Big Finish.
The character, reprised by actress Angela Bruce, will feature in the story Animal, which forms part of the second season of Lost Stories. It is written by former script editor Andrew Cartmel, and sees Bambera once again encountering the seventh Doctor, played by Sylvester McCoy.
Says series producer David Richardson:
Animal is a great, old-fashioned UNIT story, in which Bambera and her troops are investigating some strange events at a university. And then the Doctor and Raine arrive...
Recording took place in April, and the story/series is available to pre-order.
