The Peladon Boxset comes to Australia on March 4th when the two stories, The Curse of Peladon and The Monster of Peladon are released on DVD.

On the same day the 2 disc set featuring David Tennant's last appearance as the Doctor, the two parts of The End of Time, is released both on DVD and Blu-ray.

Maeanwhile Series Three of The Sarah Jane Adventures comes to the country when the series makes its debut on the Nickelodeon channel on February 23rd at 7pm.

Sarah Jane Adventures - Series 4 confirmed

Sarah JaneIn what amounts to confirmation that Series Four of The Sarah Jane Adventures has been commissioned, the BBC are recruiting a new producer to take over production of the series. The successful applicant will be based in Cardiff, and assumes responsibility for the programme which begins shooting in March. The series will once again consist of twelve thirty-minute episodes.

Series Three was shown in the UK last Autumn, achieving much higher than average ratings for CBBC. Series Two has just begun broadcasting on BBC Kids in Canada.

Final Ratings Data is now available for the entire run of Series Three of The Sarah Jane Adventures.

The final two episodes of the series got a rating of 0.95 million for Part One of The Gift and 0.89 million for Part Two. The audience share for both episodes was 7%.

The ratings were once again much higher than the average for BBC One at this time of day with the programmes reaching three times as many viewers as is usual for the timeslot. The audience profile was consistent with this time of day suggesting that The Sarah Jane Adventures was being seen by a substantial number of its target audience on CBBC.

A comparison with other new CBBC shows transmitted at this time shows just how well the show is doing with The Sarah Jane Adventures getting more than double the average achieved by other programmes.

The highest rated episodes of the series were the two parts of The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith, which saw David Tennant guest starring as the Doctor. This episode also scored the highest AI figure for the series with a score of 89.

Mona Lisa Final Ratings

Final figures now available for story five of The Sarah Jane Adventures, Mona Lisa's Revenge, give Part One an official audience of 1.12 million , with Part Two getting 0.92 million viewers.

The figures are almost identical to those achieved by the previous week's episodes and triple the average achieved by CBBC in this timeslot. Full ratings data and Audience profile can be found here.

Even though Series Three has now finished its run on BBC One, Sarah Jane continues to rate well with repeats of Series One getting ratings of around 0.6 million in the same slot.

The third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures ended on a high with Episode One of The Gift getting an AI score of 84 and Episode 2 receiving a score of 87.

The scores are once more way above the average for Children's Television, which is 72.

Final figures now available for story four, The Eternity Trap give Part One an audience of 1.14 million with Part Two getting 0.93 million viewers, an increase of 200,000 viewers over the initially reported overnights.

Over 12 million tuned into BBC One to see the 3 minute preview of The End of Time on Children in Need last night.

The quarter hour beginning at 8pm had an average audience of 11.9 million viewers on BBC One, the highest peak of the evening on any of the channels. The share was 49.5%. Once the Doctor Who clip had been shown the audience dropped off by 2 million with some viewers switching to ITV1 for Coronation Street. Overall the first section of Children In Need had an average audience of 9.8 million. An additional 260,00 viewers watched the Doctor Who clip on BBC HD, taking the total above 12 million.

Meanwhile the final part of The Sarah Jane Adventures, The Gift, finished its strong run with an audience of 0.8 million and a share of 6.4%, far above the average for the channel at this time.

Episode one of The Gift was watched by 0.8 million viewers according to unofficial overnight figures, again far exceeding the average rating for the timeslot. The audience share was 6.2%.

Final figures now available for the third story in Series Three of The Sarah Jane Adventures show that part one had an audience of 1.59 million, a 13% share of the audience, with part two being watched by 1.47 million – a 12% share.

The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith featured a guest appearance from David Tennant. The figures are spectacularly good for BBC One at this time of day and substantially above the initially reported overnight figures. The average audience in this time slot, for this year, is 0.37 million. Over 35% of the audience was in the 4–15 age range, roughly the same percentage other CBBC programmes achieve, indicating the programme is reaching its target audience.

Excluding bank holidays and special events such as the Olympics and the World Cup, the last time a CBBC programme scored higher ratings at this time was an edition of The Basil Brush show on 23 December 2003.

An additional 300,000 have watched the episodes on iPlayer.

Episode one of Mona Lisa's Revenge got an AI score of 84, with Episode two scoring 86.

The figures indicate how much the audience enjoys the programme. The average score for Childrens programmes is 72.
