The video tribute to Doctor Who shown at last Sunday's TV BAFTA ceremony to mark the programme's 50th anniversary has been made available online.

The dazzling montage, which lasts 2 min 16 sec, features clips and dialogue from a multitude of adventures, and is followed by a scene inside the TARDIS where the Doctor, as played by Matt Smith, discovers a BAFTA award mask, which he likens to an Axon. He is corrected by Clara - Jenna-Louise Coleman - who takes the mask to present at the ceremony, which was hosted by Graham Norton.

The BBC Four adaptation of Room At The Top, in which Coleman starred, won the mini-series BAFTA. Other winners with Doctor Who connections were: Olivia Colman - supporting actress and female performance in a comedy programme; Sheridan Smith (companion Lucie Miller to the Eighth Doctor in the Big Finish audio dramas) - leading actress; Last Tango In Halifax, starring Derek Jacobi, Anne Reid, Sarah Lancashire, and Sacha Dhawan - drama series; Twenty Twelve, starring Hugh Bonneville, Jessica Hynes, and Olivia Colman - situation comedy; and Game of Thrones, starring Iain Glen, Harry Lloyd, and Liam Cunningham - audience award.

This week's edition of children's comic The Beano includes a reprint of the 1981 summer special seen at the beginning of The Rings of Akhaten.

Publisher DC Thomson said it had been swamped with requests for the 32-year-old 32-page special after it was used by the Doctor to hide behind while he spied on Clara's parents-to-be.

In addition, the cover of the new issue - published today - shows Beano character Dennis The Menace catapulting a Dalek over a fence as his canine sidekick Gnasher exclaims "Gnexterminate!" Meanwhile, a caricature of Matt Smith as the Doctor views the mischief from the masthead.

Doctor Who again scored higher than most of Saturday's output. The highest scoring programmes of the day were Casualty with 87, Dad's Army with 89 and Avatar with 86.

Full ratings data for the week ending 28th April 2013 is now available and gives Doctor Who: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS an official rating of 6.5 million viewers, a share of 30.2% of the total television audience.

Once ITV HD and +1 figures are factored in, Doctor Who just slipped out of the top twenty as the 21st most watched programme on British Television for the week.

On BBC One, Doctor Who was the seventh most watched programme of the week and it was the third most watched programme of Saturday, behind the two reality shows Britain's Got Talent and The Voice.

On ITV the drama starring David Tennant, Broadchurch, had 10.46 million watching once HD and +1 figures are included, and was the second most watched programme of the week.

Figures do not include iPlayer viewings, figures for which will be available later.

The Crimson Horror had an Appreciation Index, or AI score, of 85.

Full ratings data for the week ending 21st April 2013 is now available and gives Doctor Who: Hide an official rating of 6.61 million viewers, a share of 29.2% of the total television audience.

Although the final audience was lower than previous weeks, the episode remained in the top twenty programmes for the week at number nineteen.

On BBC One, Doctor Who was the sixth most watched programme of the week, behind some episodes of EastEnders as well as The Voice and Countryfile.

On ITV the drama starring David Tennant, Broadchurch, had 9.56 million watching once HD and +1 figures are included.

Figures do not include iPlayer viewings, figures for which will be available later.

Full figures for the previous week are still not available, but Doctor Who: Cold War had a final audience of 7.37 million viewers.

Campaigners are renewing their efforts to save film studios that have close links to Doctor Who.

Bray Studios, near Maidenhead in Berkshire, are probably most famous for the Hammer horror films that were made there, including some starring Peter Cushing, but they have also hosted TV work as well as band rehearsals.

Doctor Who used the facilities for six stories between 1972 and 1979 - namely, Frontier In Space, The Invisible Enemy, Underworld, The Invasion of Time, The Power of Kroll, and City of Death - and the studios were also used by Gerry Anderson for his shows.

The now-dilapidated site, owned by showbusiness agent Neville Hendricks, is set to be turned into seven executive homes but the Save Bray Studios campaign, headed by Robert Simpson, aims to halt the bulldozers in their tracks.

Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS achieved an overnight audience of 4.9 million viewers, a share of 26.7% of the total TV audience.

Doctor Who was third for the day, beaten by the usual suspects for the evening. Its final quarter hour overlapped the day's highest-rated show Britain's Got Talent on ITV, which was top for the day with 9.3m (9.8m with +1) watching, capturing a 43.9%(46.4%) share of the audience. The BBC's talent show, The Voice, on later in the evening, was watched by 8.0 million (35.5% share).

Final ratings will be released next week, which normally sees a substantial increase in Doctor Who's audience once those who timeshift the programme are factored in.

Actors Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton, and Janet Fielding will join director Graeme Harper and Radiophonic Workshop composer Roger Limb as the special guests at the BFI Southbank big-screen showing of The Caves of Androzani next month.

The four-part story is being shown on Saturday 4th May to mark the Fifth Doctor's era, as part of the BFI's Doctor Who At 50 season.

The adventure saw the Doctor regenerate into his sixth incarnation, played by Colin Baker, and today the BFI revealed that the story picked to mark the Sixth Doctor's era will be The Two Doctors, to be shown on Saturday 15th June at 2pm.

The three-part adventure, written by Robert Holmes, co-starred Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor and was first broadcast in 1985, pitting both Doctors against the Sontarans. It also saw the return of Frazer Hines as Second Doctor companion Jamie. Location filming was carried out in Spain.

BFI Champions and members are entitled to priority booking for the event, whose guests will be announced nearer the time, but because of the overwhelming popularity of the Doctor Who At 50 season a ballot system will be in operation once again for tickets. Two ballots are being run - one each for Champions and members - via e-mail to memberballot@bfi.org.uk. Champions can enter from Monday 6th May, while members can enter from Tuesday 7th May. Champions can enter both ballots.

The ballots will close on Friday 10th May and will be run over the weekend of 11th and 12th May, with all entrants being notified on Monday 13th May as to their success or failure. Any tickets that have been reserved for Champions and members through the ballot will be held until 8.30pm on Friday 17th May, and those left unclaimed will be released for public sale on Saturday 18th May.

However, on Wednesday 15th May the official Doctor Who Facebook page will have a small number of tickets set aside for purchase by members of the public, whereby people will have to correctly answer a question to be in with a chance of booking.

Although all the celebratory screenings have been immediate sell-outs, returns and stand-bys are a strong possibility, so if all else fails do keep checking with the BFI!
