5.03 million viewers watched Doctor Who: In The Forest Of The Night, a share of 21.6% of the total TV audience, according to unofficial overnight figures.

Doctor Who was third for the day, reversing last weeks position with Pointless Celebrities which had 4.74 million and came in fourth for the day. Top was Strictly Come Dancing, which had 9.42 million viewers, a substantial lead over its rival The X Factor which had 7.34 million.

Doctor Who is currently 20th for the week, with Sunday's ratings still to come. Final figures will be available next Sunday.

Mummy - Chart Position

Doctor Who: Mummy On The Orient Express finished the week as the 14th most watched programme on British Television, according to figures from Barb.

Top for the week was the final of The Great British Bake Off, which had 13.51 million watching, over 3 million more than the second placed Downton Abbey.

Doctor Who edged ahead of the Friday edition of EastEnders, and this week outrated Emmerdale. The series has had a top twenty place for every episode so far in the current series.

Live +7 figures are now available for the first four episodes of the current series of Doctor Who.

The Live+7 figure are a measure used by the BBC to estimate the total audience for a programme. Unlike the official BARB figure, it includes not only those who watch the BBC One broadcast and those who time-shift it, but also those who watch the repeats on other UK channels and those who watch the programme on i-Player. The total figure is an estimate of the total number of unique viewers who watched the episode, in the UK, within one week on broadcast.

Doctor Who Flatline had an Audience Appreciation Index or AI score of 85.

The Appreciation Index or AI is a measure of how much the audience enjoyed the programme. The score, out of a hundred, is compiled by a specially selected panel of around 5,000 people who go online and rate and comment on programmes.

Overall Doctor Who rated slightly higher with men than women, the opposite of all other episodes in this series, and scored the highest within the 16-34 age group. 51% of the sample thought the programme felt 'Fresh and New'.

The Sunday repeat of Flatline on BBC Three had an overnight estimate of 0.23 million viewers, a 0.9% share of the audience.

Flatline averaged an impressive 971,000 national viewers in Australia (these figures include the five major capital cities and regional and rural viewers). It was the ABC's highest rating drama of the day and the tenth highest rating program of the day overall. Excluding regional and rural viewers, this story averaged 637,000 viewers in the five major Australian capital cities and was also the twelfth highest rating program of the day overall in the big cities. These ratings do not include time shifted viewers.

4.55 million viewers watched Flatline, according to unofficial overnight figures.

Doctor Who was fourth for the day, slipping behind Pointless Celebrities which managed 4.94 million viewers at the earlier time of 5.45pm.

Top for the day was Strictly Come Dancing with 9.03 million, while on ITV The X Factor had 7.71 million viewers.

Doctor Who had a share of 19.9% of the total television audience.

Kill the Moon - Chart Placing

Doctor Who Kill the Moon was the twentieth most watched programme for the week on British Television, according to figures provided by Barb, maintaining the run of top twenty places for the programme.

The Great British Bake off took top position with 10.67 million viewers, ahead of the Drama Downton Abbey which had 10.15 million watching, once ITV HD and ITV+1 figures are added in. The docu-drama on the life of Cilla Black had 8.21 million watching. The X Factor also did well with all three editions rating higher than Doctor Who. The top soaps, Coronation Street, EastEnders and episodes of Emmerdale all entered the top twenty.
