Episode 7, 42, scored an Appreciation Index or AI figure of 85, once more placing the programme in the excellent category. The programme was once of the most enjoyed on Saturday night, scoring the highest figure on BBC1 and ITV.

42 - Overnight Ratings

Doctor Who was once again top of Saturday's ratings chart with episode 7, 42 being watched by 7.0 million viewers according to unofficial overnight figures. The programme had a share of36.0% of the audience.

The show was tied with Match of the day Live as the most watched programme of the day, although the raw figures show Doctor Who leading by a tiny margin. It beat other shows on Saturday evening by almost a million viewers. The football claimed the highest peak of the day, with 11.5 million tuning in for the final fifteen minutes.

With just Sunday to go, the programme is currently 14th in the top programmes for the week.

Doctor Who was once more top of the children's chart with an audience of1.4 million 4-15's, a 57.7% share of this age group.

On BBC3, Doctor Who Confidential got an audience of 480,000 which was a 3.0% share and which made it 4th in the Multi Channel tables.

In the absence of a new episode to repeat, BBC3 filled the schedules on Friday night with a showing of the first episode of Season Three,Smith and Jones. The programme was watched by 346,000 viewers, a2.0% share of the multi channel audience.

Lazarus Experiment - Final ratings

Final figures have now been published by BARB which show that Episode Six, The Lazarus Experiment, received an official rating of7.19 million viewers, making it the 12th most watched programme of the week.

Although the Episode was beaten by Monday's New Tricks, it outrated all episodes of Emmerdale and one edition ofEastEnders

On Multi Channel TV, the Sunday night repeat got an audience of0.98 million and was the 5th most watched programme after three football matches and the latest instalment of Katie and Peter.

The Saturday edition of Doctor Who Confidential came in at7th with0.80 million viewers and the Sunday repeat was 33rdwith 0.49 million.

The programme was the 6th most watched programme of the day on all multichannel Television.

Evolution - Final Ratings

Final official figures from BARB show that Episode Five,Evolution of the Daleks was watched by 6.97 millionviewers. This made it the seventeenth most watched programme of the week.

The programme was narrowly beaten on Saturday night byCasualty.

On BBC3, the repeat was watched by 1.04 million viewers. This made it the third most watched programme on all Multi Channel TV, being beaten byChampions League Live and Katie and Peter. It achieved a higher rating than Sky One's Lost.

The Friday repeat had 0.45 Million watching.

Doctor Who Confidential was 24th in the list with 0.59 million

Final figures include those who recorded the programme and watched it later.

Lazarus Experiment - AI figure

Episode six, The Lazarus Experiment received an Appreciation Index, or AI figure of 86

Once again the programme is in the excellent category, receiving the joint highest AI figure of Saturday, and the 4th highest figure for the whole week.

On BBC3 the Doctor Who repeats also scored highly, with Sundays repeat of Evolution of the Daleks getting a score of 84 and the Friday repeat scoring 85.

Overnight figures for Sunday show that the BBC3 repeat of The Lazarus Experiment was watched by 0.94 millionviewers, a 5.2% share of the multi-channel audience. The programme was the second most watched of the day afterFord Super Sunday on Sky Sports.

The repeat of Doctor Who Confidential got an audience of 0.47 millionviewers.

Final overnight figures for the week show that Saturday's Doctor Who was 14th in the chart for the week.

Lazarus Experiment Overnights

Unofficial overnight figures show that episode six of Series Three,The Lazarus Experiment, was watched by 6.7 millionviewers, a 37.1 % share of the UK television audience.

The programme returned to its position at the top of the UK ratings chart for the night, beating Casualty, which got 6.3 million. On ITV1, Vernon Kay's Gameshow Marathon got 4 million viewers.

With one day to go, Doctor Who is currently the 12th most watched programme for the week.

The programme was again top of the Children's chart with 1.5 millionviewers, which was a 60.7% share.

On BBC3, Doctor Who Confidential had an audience of 0.77 million, making it the 2nd most watched programme on multi-channel TV for the night, being beaten by Ford Football Special on Sky Sports.
