Week Thirteen - 7.05pm start

Season Three of Doctor Who comes to a close in the UK next Saturday with episode thirteen, Last of the Time Lords, being broadcast at the slightly earlier time of 7.05pm.

The programme is preceded by a repeat of The Weakest Link: Dr Who Special, which was originally seen on the day before the season premier. The programme pits Doctor Who stars, including David Tennant, John Barrowman, Camille Coduri, Noel Clarke, K9 and Tracy-Anne Oberman, against Anne Robinson.

Following Doctor Who, BBC One viewers can see The National Lottery Drawsand Casualty.

ITV1 puts the feature film The Mummy up against the Doctor. The 1999 film stars Brendan Fraser,Rachel Weisz and John Hannah in a fantasy adventure about the search for buried treasure protected by an ancient mummy's curse.

Sports fans are catered for by BBC Two with tennis from south west London inWimbledon 2007. Weather permitting, it is the 3rd round in the men's and women's singles.

Channel 4 has a look at The 100 Greatest War Films. The first half of a two-part show counting down the 100 Greatest War Films of all time as voted for by the British public. Highlights include Platoon, Schindler's List and The Deer Hunter.

Channel 5 goes royal with William and Harry: The Interview. It is an interview given to Matt Lauer of the US network NBC, in which Prince William and Prince Harry give a unique insight into their lives.

NB: BBC Two will be showing the complete animated adventure Doctor Who: The Infinite Quest, originally shown as part of the Totally Doctor Whoseries, at 10.30am on Saturday morning. The Doctor and Martha follow a trail of clues across alien worlds to find the location of a legendary lost spaceship.

Doctor Who Confidential is on BBC3 at 7.55pm.

Sci-Fi Channel Schedule

The Sci-Fi channel in the USA has announced its schedule for July 6th, the start of its transmission of Season Three.

The Runaway Bride debuts at 8pm and is immediately followed by Smith and Jones at9.30pm. Both programmes are repeated starting at 11.30pm.

The premieres come after a day of Doctor Who on the channel, with Season Two episodes being shown from 6am until 4pm.

Week Twelve Schedule

Doctor Who stays at 7.15pm for the transmission of the penultimate episode of Season Three,The Sound of Drums in which Harry Saxon becomes Prime Minister, but his dark ambitions reach beyond the stars.

The programme is preceded by the final of The People's Quiz hosted by Jamie Theakston and followed by The National Lottery Draws and Casualty

On ITV1 the main opposition comes from "those pesky kids" in the 2004 filmScooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. where an evil genius is intent on wreaking havoc, much as on BBC1.

BBC2 has coverage of the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and handy tips on buying art.

Channel 4 puts the real Prime Minister up against Harold Saxon with The Rise and Fall of Tony Blair. Andrew Rawnsley examines the policies and personality of the man who has ruled Britain for the last decade.

Channel 5 offers an alternative with the 1988 feature film Little Nikita starring Sidney Poitier and River Phoenix. An unusual espionage drama in which an American teenager about to join the Air Force Academy discovers that his parents are Soviet agents.

Canada: CBC Updates Doctor Who Site for 2007 Series

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation have updated their Doctor Who Site for the 2007 Series of Doctor Who. The new site contains schedule information, a photo gallery, flash animation, content from the Doctor Who Information Network (DWIN) and a lengthy trailer for The Runaway Bride and the 2007 series.

As previously reported on Outpost Gallifrey the CBC will be airing the 2007 episodeSmith and Jones and the 2006 Christmas Special The Runaway Bride on Monday June 18th, 2007 at 8:00pm and 12:00am midnight (8:30pm and 12:30am in Newfoundland).

Week Eleven - Schedule

Doctor Who moves to 7.15pm for the transmission of Episode Eleven, Utopia. The programme is sandwiched between The People's Quiz and The National Lottery Draws with the hospital drama Casualty following at 8.10pm.

Against the first part of the show, ITV1 offers the 2002 feature film Scooby-Doo, the live action version of the cartoon about a gang of teenage sleuths and their cowardly dog. Against the last fifteen minutes it offers Ant and Dec with the last of the live semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent.

On BBC2 there is the latest in the The Culture Show where Lou Reed talks about his upcoming UK tour, while Channel4 continues with Lie Labinvestigating new lie-detection technology. Channel 5 once more offers Cricket on five.

CBC: Runaway Bride Schedule Change

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation have changed their plans to air
The Runaway Bride on Monday June 11th. Earlier this week a representative from the CBC confirmed for Outpost Gallifrey that if the National Hockey League Stanley Cup playoffs were completed before that date the 2006 Christmas special would be aired. This is no longer the case.

An announcement on the CBC Doctor Who web site now states that The Runaway Bridewill now air on CBC on the night of Monday June 18th at 12am midnight (12:30am in Newfoundland).

Week Ten Schedule

Doctor Who stays at its new regular time of 7.10pm for the transmission of this year's Doctor lite episode, Blink. The programme is once again sandwiched between The Peoples Quiz and the The National Lottery Draws.

The BBC1 line up later includes the final of the search for a star series Any Dream Will Do where John Barrowman will help the public decide who take the title role in the new West End production of Joseph.

The main opposition ITV1 pits John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John up against the Doctor when it shows the 1978 feature film Grease as a prelude to its own final of the talent show Grease is the Word.

On BBC2 viewers can get their culture fix with The Culture Show looking at the reopening of the Royal Festival Hall after a two-year refit while Channel 4 continues with Lie Lab looking at New lie-detection technology. Channel 5 once more offers Cricket on Five with the best of the third day's action from Old Trafford.

Torchwood - September 8 on BBC America

ITV1 offers Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? as the main opposition, with Chris Tarrant, while BBC Two has The Culture Show where Paul McCartney meets up with Lauren Laverne to talk about his new album Memory Almost Full.

On Channel 4 viewers can see Lie Lab looking at new lie-detection technology using Magnetic Resonance Imaging, while on Channel 5 there is the 2003 film S Club: Seeing Double starring members of the pop group S Club.
